At St Mark’s we want our children to be able to thrive in a happy, safe and caring environment.
We see each child as an individual and through the seven areas of learning we provide topics that excite and engage, whilst building on their experiences and incorporating their interests and needs.
At St Mark’s we believe that children’s social, personal and emotional development underpins all areas of learning to ensure the children are socially and emotionally ready to learn. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum that enables the children to be inquisitive, to explore and question the world around them with independence and increasing confidence. We provide opportunities that are practical and engaging and believe that their first experience of school should be happy and positive, enabling them to develop a love of learning. At St Mark’s we work closely with pre-school and parents in order to understand the whole child.
Children leave with a sense of belonging ready to continue their journey throughout school. They have the confidence and skills to make decisions and self-evaluate, make connections to become lifelong learners.
